Persepolis
I went with Alex to Blockbuster with the intention of renting movies for us to watch. I ended up getting The Mist (which I have already seen with Alex in the theaters), Akira (which I have rented before and I'm starting to read), and Persepolis (which I have never seen but wanted to). I finished watching Persepolis now. It was SO good. For those that don't know, Persepolis is the animated, autobiographical story of Marjane Satrapi, who grew up during the Iranian Revolution. I remember she was on The Colbert Report promoting the movie and me being interested. There's also two graphic novels, which the movie is based on. It really makes you feel, not just for her and her family, but for the Iranian people themselves. All this talk about invading Iran...people can't be stupid enough to make this worse. Oh, but how they always seem to. I wish that everyone who is oppressive to others just died. I want to hear that on the news: Every dictator, corrupt politician, and wacko religious nut job, drops dead all at once. I also wish that anyone else who tries to seize power for themselves tyranically also drops dead. Oh...if only. Anyway, Joey came up with this idea for a show (similar to It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, which is also REALLY good) and I'm gonna be part of it. He wrote in a part for me. Actually, I'm one of the main characters. We're supposed to start filming a pilot episode today and if all goes well enough, we'll do more. We really don't know, most of it is for fun. If it's too much hassle, however, we won't. But hey, it's something to do. I am working nothing but closing shifts all through until the 26th of June. Lucky for me, Waroed Tour is THIS SATURDAY! I can't wait! I wait all year for this. The line up could be a bit better but I've been going to alot more shows since my first Warped Tour in 2004, so I've seen alot more. I'm gonna go see The Dear Hunter in Tampa on August 9th, and Coheed And Cambria on August 6th at Revolution. Should be a totally awesome show, both of them. I just killed a cockroach. I sprayed it with poison. I watched it slowly die. Should I feel bad? I'm asking because I do. I feel like I have so much more to say, but I don't know what. Oh, and I love Alex. We've been going through a revitalization of our relationship recently. We do seem to care for each other more and more, which is good :-). Like I said, I love her.
